(or another reason to write a list)
1. Well-written characters played by very good actors. Great cast, no exceptions.
2. Alan Cumming as the gray haired manipulative yet totally lovable Eli Gold.
3. Kalinda, probably one of the best written complex secondary characters of today's television.
4. Great soundtrack. I love it when shows dig up old and unknown songs and use them perfectly in scenes (Weeds also does this). My QED is Kalinda vs car scene.
5. Excellent acting of episodic characters. I went on imdb to see who played the rookie blonde ditsy attorney so well and it's none other than Meryl Streep's daughter Mamie Gummer.
6. The sexy voices of Josh Charles and Julianna Margulies (using headphones finally paid off).
7. The chemistry is exactly where it should be.
8. It is not afraid to be openly political.
9. It brought me back the thrill of watching a legal drama.
